We hope you’re happy with your Tate Shop order, but in case you’ve changed your mind, or if there’s a problem with your item, here’s all the information you need to cancel your order or make a return, free of charge.
Cancellation policy
Shop orders
To cancel your order please contact our customer service team by email at shop@tate.org.uk.
For furniture and custom print cancellation requests please contact us within 24 hours or we may have already started production. As our furniture and custom prints are made to order, they are not refundable unless they are faulty, or we have made an error.
Tickets & memberships
Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. However, providing we have availability, we may be able to exchange some exhibition tickets at our discretion, if you’re able to return the unwanted tickets to us before the date and time slot that they are valid for. A £1 exchange fee is charged per ticket. We are not able to exchange tickets which are valid for past dates or time slots.

Returns policy for Shop orders
If you’re not entirely happy with your order – whether you’ve changed your mind or decided you just don’t like it – we’ll happily offer you a refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase.
For all orders placed between 01 November and 31 December 2024, we are extending the returns policy to 60 days, so you don’t have to worry if the gift you purchased for Christmas isn’t completely right.
We offer free returns on all items, excluding furniture and custom prints. To return any items, just click on the link below, enter the details of what you would like to return, and we’ll provide you with a freepost label you can print at home or a QR code to take to your local pick-up point.
Our courier partner, DPD, will collect from here and you’ll be able to track the return delivery.
As soon as it’s back with us, providing it’s in a sellable condition and in its original packaging, we’ll process a full refund for the item(s) within 3-5 working days, back onto the account you used to make the original purchase.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund on furniture, custom prints or pierced earrings unless they are faulty, or we have made a mistake.
If there’s a problem with your item (if we’ve made a mistake, or if your order arrives damaged) please try to let us know as soon as possible by emailing shop@tate.org.uk, and we’ll arrange a replacement or refund for you as soon as possible.
