Corner Bar medium natural ash bench

Sustainably made, this 2-seater bench is handcrafted to order by Goldfinger from locally salvaged wood, in their North Kensington studio workshop.

A perfect partner for the medium ash table, the rounded edges of the bench echo those of the table, creating a softness that eliminates any harshness from its minimalist aesthetic. The bench also looks great as a standalone seat for a hallway, interstitial area or lounge.

Smaller than its 4-seater sibling, but no less stylish, the medium bench measures 120 x 35 x 45 cm.

Cleverly designed to make the most from its source materials (trees felled because of disease, overgrowth or development in London and the surrounding areas), the bench is stamped with the GPS co-ordinates of where the tree it was carved from once stood.

Goldfinger is an award-winning social enterprise, with a focus on community, sustainability, and traditional craftsmanship. They use their profits to fund their teaching academy, where they teach traditional joinery skills and sustainable design, preserving these valuable skills for the future and providing much needed jobs, training and a strong community of makers. The Corner cafe collection was collaboratively designed by Goldfinger, Tate, and Holland Harvey.

Please be aware that as each bench is made to order, we regret that we are unable to offer refunds or cancellations after production has begun, unless the item is faulty.

The bench is a solid piece of quality furniture, making it a large and heavy item that cannot be dismantled for delivery. You are responsible for making sure that the piece that you’ve ordered will fit into your property and the room you intend to use it in upon delivery. If you would like help ensuring this, an access check can be provided for an extra fee of £80, which will be deducted from the cost of your item should you decide to proceed with an order. An access inspector will attend your property and make sure that the measurements of your entrances, corridors, doorways and stairs are compatible with delivery and installation of your table, so you can order with confidence. Delivery is via a professional white-glove courier service at a cost of £150, who will assist you in all aspects of the delivery and installation of your new piece of furniture. Currently delivery is available for UK orders only.
