This medium sized Ash dining table can comfortably seat 6 people, with a sleek design that’ll look great in any room. Crafted using traditional methods from locally sourced wood, stamped on each table are the GPS coordinates of the tree it was made from.

The table is made by Goldfinger, an award-winning social enterprise that combines high-end design with sustainability and community. At their home in Trellick Tower, North Kensington, every item in the collection is made from repurposed wood, sustainably sourced from trees felled locally, within London and the surrounding areas. Over 5000 mature trees fall each year due to weather-related incidents, disease, or urban development, and Goldfinger use the wood from trees like these to create their hand-crafted furniture and homeware products.

The sleek design features softly rounded square legs that echo the curved edges of the rectangular tabletop. The table legs have the same radius as the tabletop, which makes for a smooth piece of furniture with no jarring edges. At just over 2 metres long, there’s plenty of room to seat six people, with a choice of seating options. The 76 cm height also makes it a comfortable workstation for a laptop or notebook. It’s 90 cm wide, making it a functional kitchen or dining table but still giving it a slimline appearance.

Goldfinger’s team of expert craftspeople use traditional tools and joinery techniques to create these solid wood tables, designed to last a lifetime. They also run a teaching academy, where they share their skills, promoting sustainable work practices to young people. Their profits fund their social impact projects, which provide employment and training, fight social isolation, and help to preserve the art of joinery for future generations. The Corner cafe collection was collaboratively designed by Goldfinger, Tate, and Holland Harvey.

Please be aware that as each table is made to order, we regret that we are unable to offer refunds or cancellations after production has begun, unless the item is faulty.

The table is a solid piece of quality furniture, making it a large and heavy item that cannot be dismantled for delivery. You are responsible for making sure that the piece that you’ve ordered will fit into your property and the room you intend to use it in upon delivery. If you would like help ensuring this, an access check can be provided for an extra fee of £80, which will be deducted from the cost of your item should you decide to proceed with an order. An access inspector will attend your property and make sure that the measurements of your entrances, corridors, doorways and stairs are compatible with delivery and installation of your table, so you can order with confidence. Delivery is via a professional white-glove courier service at a cost of £150, who will assist you in all aspects of the delivery and installation of your new piece of furniture. Currently delivery is available for UK orders only.
