Fahrelnissa Zeid Untitled t-shirt

This Fahrelnissa Zeid Untitled black t-shirt by UNIQLO x Tate celebrates the artwork and the artist with a kaleidoscopic, swirling design that features the artist’s name spilling from her abstract painting.

Zeid’s abstract artwork was painted in the 1950s, while she was living in London. Her experience of the transatlantic flight she took to get there left her with a fascination for the abstracted perspective that an aerial view gives, and she used this feeling to create her fragmented, mosaic-like paintings. Zeid’s techniques produce the sense of a whirling motion in this piece, that our design nods to.

With the artwork credit line printed in black on the back at the neck, the cotton t-shirt is suitable for gentle machine washing at 40 degrees, and can be tumble dried if needed.
