Additional Information
Coffee by Tate is a vibrant community-led non-profit business that helps fund Tate Gallery and champion coffee producers and professionals of all genders throughout the coffee value chain. Our range of coffees is comprised of individual, community and family producers and designed to reflect the seasonality, diversity and quality of coffee grown across Africa and Latin America. Our range of Espresso and Filter coffees are the results of projects, relationships or initiatives that we have instigated or supported in producing communities, with the help of our partners, and changes seasonally. This is a more sustainable process that ensures the highest quality yield and allows us to work with more producers.
Our current Fluxus Filter coffee is Rumudamo, a natural process coffee from Ethiopia. This coffee is a sweet, fruity and rewarding cup that invites you back for a second brew, straight after the first.

About our producers
This coffee is sourced through Coffee Legends, from Daye Bensa. Two brothers, Assefa and Mulugeta Dukamo, founded Daye Bensa in 1996, based in the Sidama region of Ethiopia, in the Bensa district.
The group began as producers and suppliers of coffee, starting with their first washing station Qonqa’na, a place for farmers to bring their cherries to be processed and sold. In 2006, Daye Bensa then began to export their coffee throughout the world rather than only selling within Ethiopia. Since then, the company have expanded monumentally and in 2023, embarked on a community project to build schools in five underprivileged locations. The company also operates a processing class aimed at imparting essential knowledge and skills to fresh graduates and children of coffee farmers. This initiative seeks to enhance employment opportunities and increase the pool of skilled labour within the coffee industry. Through certification, individuals are equipped with the tools needed to excel in coffee processing, creating a sustainable cycle of growth and development.
Over the past decade, they’ve grown to become one of the largest exporting groups in Ethiopia, with a unique brand, connection, and story.
