Spend hours with Joan Miró’s expressive artistry with a Women and Bird in the Moonlight, 1949 inspired Swatch x Tate watch.
Miró’s colourful painting is filled with his personal visual language of shapes, bright colours, and abstracted figures. Playing with these elements, the watch is patterned with the artist’s red-and-brown tinged moonlight, and fans of the original piece will enjoy spotting the women, bird, blue crescent moon and other details that make Women and Bird in the Moonlight the enthralling piece it is.
Complementing the artwork details, the blue of the crescent moon is used for the watch case, buckle and hands of the watch. Simple white dots mark the hours, mirroring the figure on the watch face, and it’s finished with a frosted silicone strap loop bearing the Tate dot logo in black.
Since the early 1980s, Swatch has been collaborating with artists, designers and galleries to spread the idea that art makes the world a better place – a belief Tate shares. We’ve collaborated to reinterpret Tate collection artworks into timepieces to be treasured.
Swiss-made, the Joan Miró watch is water resistant, so you can keep your watch clean with a toothbrush dipped in soapy water, and dry with a soft cloth. Rinse in lukewarm water after swimming in salt water, and avoid contact with solvents and creams. Light scratches to the synthetic glass can be buffed out using cream polish, and when your watch battery runs out, you can get it replaced for free at a Swatch shop.

We aim to deliver stocked shop products within:
- UK – 2-3 working days
- International – 2-4 weeks
For made-to-order items, including framed custom prints, furniture, lighting and rugs, we aim to deliver within:
- UK – 1-2 weeks
- International – 2-4 weeks
Please note that some items are dispatched separately if they are made to order (such as coffee, custom prints and custom print clothing, neon lights or furniture). This means that if you order these items alongside other shop products, they won’t all arrive together, and you’ll get several deliveries.
If the delivery time frame for each item has ended and you’re still waiting for something from your order, please get in touch and we’ll investigate for you.

We currently offer free standard delivery on UK orders over £60. Our other delivery costs are as follows.
For orders under £60:
UK – £5 per order
European Union – £15 per order
Rest of world (including non-EU European countries) – £28 per order

If you are not completely happy with your order, you can return any items to us, free of charge within 60 days of purchase, and we will be happy to offer you a full refund, replacement or exchange on any items excluding custom prints, furniture and pierced earrings.
