Roll up for this Swatch x Tate watch inspired by Marc Chagall’s The Blue Circus, 1950.
Chagall’s blue-hued artwork was inspired by his love of the circus, and was created as a study for a mural to decorate the auditorium of a theatre.
The watch uses key details from Chagall’s dynamic artwork throughout the design, from the smiling fish and red-clad trapeze artist swinging on the straps, to the watchful crescent moon motif on the dial. Look closely and you’ll see even the hands of the watch feature tiny icons taken from the circus scene – the pony’s green eye and a gold and black crescent.
Secured with a matching semi-transparent blue buckle and a Tate logo silicone loop to tuck your watch straps into, the watch has all the quality and function you’d expect from a Swiss-made Swatch watch, including water resistance and free battery replacements.
Since the early 1980s, Swatch has been collaborating with artists, designers and galleries to spread the idea that art makes the world a better place – a belief Tate shares. We’ve collaborated to reinterpret Tate collection artworks into timepieces to be treasured.
As it is water resistant, you can keep your watch clean with a toothbrush dipped in soapy water, and dry with a soft cloth. Rinse in lukewarm water after swimming in salt water, and avoid contact with solvents and creams. When your watch battery runs out, you can get it replaced for free at a Swatch shop.

Delivery times
We aim to deliver stocked shop products within:
- UK – 2-3 working days
- International – 2-4 weeks
For made-to-order items, including framed custom prints, furniture, lighting and rugs, we aim to deliver within:
- UK – 1-2 weeks
- International – 2-4 weeks
Please note that some items are dispatched separately if they are made to order (such as coffee, custom prints and custom print clothing, neon lights or furniture). This means that if you order these items alongside other shop products, they won’t all arrive together, and you’ll get several deliveries.
If the delivery time frame for each item has ended and you’re still waiting for something from your order, please get in touch and we’ll investigate for you.
Delivery costs
We currently offer free standard delivery on UK orders over £60. Our other delivery costs are as follows.
For orders under £60:
UK – £5 per order
European Union – £15 per order
Rest of world (including non-EU European countries) – £28 per order

If you are not completely happy with your order, you can return any items to us, free of charge within 60 days of purchase, and we will be happy to offer you a full refund, replacement or exchange on any items excluding custom prints, furniture and pierced earrings.
