Additional Information
This work recalls traditional full-length portraits of women but the clear lines and precision of the work gives it a modern feel. The model for this painting was Margaret Austin-Jones. The dress she wears was made by Frampton’s mother from a Vogue pattern, and the vase next to her was designed by Frampton.
This art print is 30 x 40 cm, including an artwork credit line printed under the image and a white border. It’s printed on responsibly sourced Mondi 300gsm paper by our Sussex-based printers. The paper is FSC certified and responsibly sourced.
About the artist
Meredith Frampton (1894– 1984) was born in in 1894 in St John’s Wood, the only son of the sculptor George Frampton and painter Christabel Cockerell. He studied at the Royal Academy from 1913 before joining the army during the First World War. After the war he resumed his artistic career, painting highly real portraits and still life, many of which had a slightly surreal touch. His artistic career was cut short as in 1953 he retired due to his failing eyesight.

For made-to-order items, including framed custom prints, furniture, lighting and rugs, we aim to deliver within:
- UK – 1-2 weeks
- International – 2-4 weeks
Please note that some items are dispatched separately if they are made to order (such as coffee, custom prints and custom print clothing, neon lights or furniture). This means that if you order these items alongside other shop products, they won’t all arrive together, and you’ll get several deliveries.
If the delivery time frame for each item has ended and you’re still waiting for something from your order, please get in touch and we’ll investigate for you.
Delivery costs
We currently offer free standard delivery on UK orders over £60. Our other delivery costs are as follows.
For orders under £60:
UK – £5 per order
European Union – £15 per order
Rest of world (including non-EU European countries) – £28 per order

Refunds & returns
If you are not completely happy with your order, you can return any items to us, free of charge within 60 days of purchase, and we will be happy to offer you a full refund, replacement or exchange on any items excluding custom prints, furniture and pierced earrings.
