Inspired by papercraft and folds fabric, the lamp emulates these pleats and crinkles to create a piece of lighting that’s a beautiful addition to your home decor even when not in use.
Measuring 25 cm tall, the lamp has a vase-like, open mouthed design that measures 22 cm at the widest point. Rubber feet on the underside of the lamp’s base provide a firm grip and protection for delicate surfaces, and the lamp is finished with an elegant black 1.8m braided cord, with a chunky retro switch and a transparent plug.
Basics of Love is a collaborative design studio based in Walthamstow, in London. Ellen Wilkinson and Wojciech Rusin design and make all of their contemporary homeware products there, inspired by abstract art and modernist design. As well as using plant-based alternatives to plastic for their 3D printed items, the studio is powered by 100% renewable energy, and all of their packaging is reusable and recyclable.
Plant based PLA is a versatile and durable material derived from corn starch. Unlike oil-based plastics, this material can deform at high temperatures, so avoid temperatures above 50°C and only use LED bulbs in the lamp. It is UKCA compliant, and can be cleaned with a duster or a damp cloth as required.

Delivery times
We aim to deliver stocked shop products within:
- UK – 2-3 working days
- International – 2-4 weeks
For made-to-order items, including framed custom prints, furniture, lighting and rugs, we aim to deliver within:
- UK – 1-2 weeks
- International – 2-4 weeks
Please note that some items are dispatched separately if they are made to order (such as coffee, custom prints and custom print clothing, neon lights or furniture). This means that if you order these items alongside other shop products, they won’t all arrive together, and you’ll get several deliveries.
If the delivery time frame for each item has ended and you’re still waiting for something from your order, please get in touch and we’ll investigate for you.
Delivery costs
We currently offer free standard delivery on UK orders over £60. Our other delivery costs are as follows.
For orders under £60:
UK – £5 per order
European Union – £15 per order
Rest of world (including non-EU European countries) – £28 per order

Refunds & returns
If you are not completely happy with your order, you can return any items to us, free of charge within 60 days of purchase, and we will be happy to offer you a full refund, replacement or exchange on any items excluding custom prints, furniture and pierced earrings.
