Additional Information

Part of a collection of posters and limited editions published and printed by King & McGaw for Team GB to mark the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, this poster has been designed by artist Rose Wylie, using her 2015 artwork, Pink Skater, (Will I Win, Will I Win).

Wylie’s artwork depicts an ice skater dressed in pink, leaping amongst brightly coloured stars. Wylie described her inspiration as coming from memories of two photographs: a black and white photograph of a skater by Eduardo Paulozzi, and a newspaper picture of a swimmer about to leap into the sea on Christmas day - ‘Both figures pose similarly, dressed in pink but with distinct attitudes – the skater's conventional pose is competitive vs. the swimmer’s exultance – both symbolising the anticipation of victory. Within the composition, the presence of bouncing orange stars hint at esteemed recognition. Meanwhile, the text lining the bottom is etched in straight lines, reminiscent of a slender skate mark etched upon ice.’

Share in that feeling of anticipation yourself with the 60 x 80 cm landscape format poster. Printed on 50gsm Coala Premium paper, the official Team GB logo, the artist’s name and the location of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games all feature on a white border underneath the artwork image, making it a glorious souvenir of an important moment in sporting history.
