Additional Information

Suzanne Treister has generously produced HEXEN 5.0/Tarot/Seven of Wands - Regenerative Systems (Tate variation), 2024. It is one of two limited edition artworks created especially for Tate to coincide with the exhibition Electric Dreams at Tate Modern, 28 November 2024 – 1 June 2025.

Each artwork depicts a tarot card from Treister’s new series HEXEN 5.0, 2024, with the addition of a green border especially for the Tate variation. The tarot deck series, HEXEN 5.0, 2024, critically and historically explores new global developments in terrestrial and interplanetary technologies; science and communications; corporate and governmental forces; the ecosystem and climate crisis; recent and traditional fields of knowledge and spirituality; new branches of bio-sociopolitical theory; contemporary countercultural and futuristic movements; and new directions in science fiction, towards proposed solutions for an ethical survival of the human race. Treister created the series with a hope that when published it will be used as a learning tool for groups to discuss and envision positive alternative futures. In tarot, Seven of Wands in the upright position as seen here can be interpreted as a symbol of perseverance and holding your own in the face of adversity and challenges.

Each print is signed and numbered by the artist. Prices of the artwork are liable to change. As a limited edition sells out, prices of the artwork are subject to increase and the price will be clearly indicated.
